LINKING THE DIGITAL MEDIA CHAIN

The EMF focuses on four categories of SERVICES particularly relevant to its members and the digital technologies community in general:


NETWORKING

AIM: to offer a set of high value-added services to the digital media industries through events and a qualified network of associations & professionals.

Events
Throughout the year, the EMF organises and participates in many events, prime networking occasions for companies and professionals involved in multimedia. The EMF may also organise tailor-made events around your own needs.

Multimedia Associations
An extensive network of multimedia associations, of which EMF is the coordinator, offers support to the multimedia community accross Europe and the world.

Executive Advisors
The EMF has assembled a strong team of Executive Advisors. These professionals have been selected on the basis of their industry positions, invaluable skills and thorough industry knowledge. They offer a large portfolio of services to help digital media companies through their business needs.

Special Interest Groups
The EMF manages a series of SIGs in which members collaborate in the pursuance of common goals. For more information, check:

VISIBILITY

AIM: to identify excellence in multimedia and promote it through collective action and a number of high visibility events and features.

European Seal of E-Excellence
In collaboration with EMMAC, the platform grouping Europe's leading national and regional multimedia associations, the European Multimedia Forum manages the European Seal of E-Excellence, a yearly award to distinguish European companies with an excellent track record in innovation marketing.


ACCESS TO MARKETS

AIM: to promote the European digital media industries in markets which present a high growth potential & to develop mutually beneficial trading relationships with key actors in key markets.

E-Accelerator

Through the E-Accelerator, the EMF offers advice, assistance and an operational infrastructure to expanding ICT and digital media companies that want to penetrate new markets in Europe, America and Asia. The Accelerator offers a portfolio of business development support services for European and foreign ICT & digital media companies based on the skills of its Executive Advisors and on strong collaborative links with a network of local, national and regional associations and organisations with a track-record in the field.


ACCESS TO FUNDING

AIM: to assist digital media companies in obtaining public and private funding.

Corporate, VC and Financial Investment
Through the E-Accelerator and its Executive Advisors, the EMF assists digital media companies in attracting investment. This involves reviewing the financial viability of businesses, providing assistance in writing business plans, coaching for "elevator pitches", introduction to financiers, etc..

E-Facilitator: access to European funding
Through the E-Facilitator and the EUREKA eConTec Umbrella, the EMF has been operating for many years a "European Project Factory" through which it helps ICT & digital media companies benefit from EU and EUREKA funding programmes - with a first rate track record of success!

EUREKA eConTec Umbrella
The EMF provides the secretariat of the EUREKA eConTec Umbrella, a network that focuses on facilitating a smooth interaction and active collaboration between the two main components of the digital media value chain: the digital content users and industries (content owners, aggregators) and the infrastructure suppliers (devices, systems, networks). At the heart of this interaction are innovative companies that develop “eContent and eBusiness Technologies”. The Umbrella facilitates their market orientated R&D projects and supports their acquisition of EUREKA funding.

ACCESS TO JOBS

AIM: to facilitate the matching of job offers and demands, the harmonisation of job definitions & qualifications, and a proactive dialogue between job seekers, employers and training institutions.

Harmonisation of Internet-related jobs definitions and qualifications
The EMF promotes harmonised job descriptions in relation to multimedia / new technologies that define competences and skills based on market needs.

Skills & competences questionnaire
Our questionnaire aims at assessing market needs in terms of Internet-related jobs.

Self-assessment
This self-assesment tool tool is designed to allow job seekers to compare their professionnal profile to those which have been identified by a survey conducted by the main professionnal internet and multimedia associations in Europe.

Directory of training curricula for new technologies
The Directory publicises multimedia training courses available in Europe. If you are a training institution, promote your training courses in our Directory and earn the EMF "Label of Industry Compliance"!

Job-exchange platform
