This conference will offer a platform to discuss present and future challenges of European population registration with representatives from local, national and EU administrations and cooperating economies. Among the key topics: national eIdentity initiatives in Europe, privacy protection innovations and unique identifiers in population registration, eGovernment policy and efficiency across Europe. The conference is organised by the eTen funded RISER service - one of the first trans-European eGovernment services in European Civil registration.

Telecentre-Europe is celebrating eSkills Week 2010 through a pan-European initiative focused on bringing people online. The initiative called Get Online Day will be coordinated by Telecentre-Europe and implemented with the assistance of national partners through telecentres.

The e-Skills Week Presentation Campaign in Spain will be the official opening of the Spanish e-Skills Week. It will gather leading figures from Spanish and European Institutions, governments, business and academic community to discuss the importance of e-Skills for the future.

This event aims to bring high-level scientific information and to show best practice examples. It also aims to trigger active discussions between scientists, medical doctors, policy makers from the healthcare industry, hospital administration and allied professionals.

The conference is a high-level public event featuring a series of new public-private partnerships, notably Factories of the Future, Energy-efficient Buildings and the European Green Cars initiative. This conference will be a platform for the European Commission to launch a 4th public-private partnership on FUTURE INTERNET. Be part of it – come to Valencia!

European e-Skills Week highlights the growing demand for skilled ICT users and professionals to drive a competitive and innovative Europe. This campaign seeks to inform students, young professionals and SMEs about the vast range of opportunities that ICT-related jobs present. The event is expected to involve 300,000 participants in more than 100 activities. Public authorities, ICT companies, education institutions and students will engage in hundreds of activities, training events, competitions and much more. The events will take place across Europe with more than 20 participating countries.

The European Commission underlined the importance of building a Future Internet Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) and committed to kick-start this initiative already in 2010 by allocating a total of 300 million euros under FP7 ICT Theme until 2013. This open event will raise awareness among all interested stakeholders, about the concepts, focus, structure and implementation plans of the Public-Private-Partnership.

The workshop will take stock of eGovernment good practices related to measurement - how Member States, regions and public administrations measure their performance (back office) and/or the impact and user satisfaction of the eGovernment services. Abstracts can be submitted until 26 February 2010.

This event will celebrate the International Women's Day. It will also comprise workshops targeting women willing to set up consortia and submit proposals for future calls as well as a session on eSkills.

The Sustainable Technologies Exhibition has the objective of gathering and providing information and knowledge on the available sustainable technologies, in order to encourage their development, production and use by individuals as well as public and private organizations. “Sustainable technologies” include economically feasible methodologies, techniques, systems, equipment or processes that can be produced and applied to minimize negative and promote positive impacts on the environment, on people’s quality of life and on a socio-environmentally sustainable development. Sustainable technologies with a high replication potential are brought together at the Sustainable Technologies Exhibition – an event organized by the Ethos Institute, Brazil, in parallel with the International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility. Categories for submission are: Inclusive Technologies, Responsible Technologies and Green Technologies Submissions close on February 12th.

ECMS 2010 aims to bring together researchers and practitioners of modelling in simulation from Europe and Asia. Organised under the headline "Simulation meets global challenges" the conference emphasises the fact that in today's global economy the regional concerns have been replaced by global concerns about topics such as industry, economy and climate.

Business leaders, public officials and opinion leaders will share and build a vision of a connected planet with access for all. ICT as an enabler for economic growth will be the main topic on the agenda for WCIT 2010. The conference is structured aroung 9 main tracks, including themes such as eGovernment, eHealth and eInclusion.

TeleHealth is CeBIT's exhibition platform for ehealth solutions. With its three part format - Conference, Expo and Networking - it serves as a political platform for the industry. Under the tagline "IT in Healthcare Delivery", TeleHealth 2010 will try to paint a vivid picture of the role of IT in healthcare - how it is being used now and in the future to improve efficiency and patient welfare and provide practical support for doctors and medical staff.

The EDDP conference will focus on the early detection and prevention in Heart disease, Hypertension, Diabetes, Renal diseases and how it relates to Health policy issues. The scientific programme features an international panel of speakers as well as a concurrent exhibition. It is expected to draw hundreds of participants from around the globe, including medical practitioners, scientists, investigators, opinion leaders, formulators of health policies and health managers.

IWEEE 2010 brings together a multi-disciplinary team representing NGOs, Academia, Government, Church and Industry to share their experiences and to try to find ways to improve the lives of millions of human beings from the developing world. IWEEE is not a pure technical conference. It will focus on the human factor and in raising awareness about the actual situation. It will discuss the tools that can be provided today to doctors and institutions to improve their habitants' health and education.

The annual Eastern European eGov Days have become a recognised platform for dialog and knowledge transfer between Western and Eastern European countries. The event brings together about 200 professionals from both private and public sectors. The EU eGovernment Action Plan for 2015 will be discussed in both parallel sessions and plenary panels.

The event intends to provide an international forum for discussing the latest results in the field of medical and biological engineering and computing. The scientific program will consist of invited keynote talks given by leading scientists in the field, and special track sessions and workshops that cover a broad array of issues which relate technology and computing to (bio)medicine. A call for papers is open until 14 February.

Edge 2010 is a conference devoted to 21st Century public service delivery : how to innovate for digital inclusion, learning and e-government. New approaches to the regeneration of cities will be presented and exploration of how virtual libraries, along with information services, are revolutionising local authorities. The event will provide opportunities to learn about innovative practice in libraries, buildings and community information. Edge 2010 will demonstrate the latest thinking, tools and technologies available to the public sector. Participants will include elected members, Chief Executives, Directors, Heads of Service, trustees, E-government and community professionals, library vendors, and others with an interest in libraries and information.

The 4th international PEPPOL conference will provide the opportunity for the participants to discover the business applications available for eProcurement and how easily suppliers can connect through service providers. It will show how large organizations in the public and private sector can benefit from connecting to PEPPOL. The European Commission's co-financed project PEPPOL aims to make electronic communication between companies and government bodies possible for all procurement processes in the EU.

The workshop aims to encourage the good practice sharing in the area of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Amongst the main themes: lessons learnt from the use of SOA in eGovernment, the evolution of SOA towards a Service Object Oriented Architecture; the impact of SOA on new eGovernment policy priorities. Abstract submissions are welcomed by 9 February 2010. This workshop is an initiative of the European Commission.
