Hans
Peter Ritt
graduated in history and philosophy at the University of Vienna,
and studied in Hamburg and Vienna. He was a collaborator and
manager of scientific research projects, training and consulting
projects for private enterprises as well as interdisciplinary
projects and complex programmes on behalf of public authorities.
Currently
he is the managing director of "milestone projectmanagement
gmbh" with a focus on the new media activities. Additionally,
he works as a management trainer and consultant for clients
in Austria and Germany. In his function as the programme manager
of "multimedia business austria", he has been responsible
for designing and steering this multi-annual initiative launched
by the Economic Ministry since 1997. In 1998, he initiated
multimedia reader.at and, since then, has been the publisher
of this directory of Austrian multimedia production. Since
2000, he has headed the tender office of the "nml" programme
for the promotion of digital media in teaching at universities
commissioned by the Science Ministry.
Hans-Peter
Ritt is the editor of a series of publications on issues related
to the digital media, among which the "European Usability
Catalogue", a directory of usability service providers and
usability laboratories throughout Europe, is particularly
dear to him.
In
2003, Hans-Peter Ritt joined the EMF team as Head of the Central
European Office based in Vienna.
