Jokin Garatea currently studying for a Phd at the University of the Basque Country, Spain, Jokin Garatea’s education includes a Law Degree, from Deusto University, Spain. He is an expert in International Commerce, at the University of the Basque Country and a Graduate in European Economy from Instituto Hispano-Alemán, Germany and graduate in Knowledge Transfer by the Open University UK.

Project experience includes responsibility for legal and international projects for GAIA, the Telecommunication Cluster of the Basque Country in Spain and secretary co-ordinator of projects carried out for DGI, DGIII and DGXII. Promoter of projects related to e-commerce and a regular conference speaker on Technology transfer, European Integration, multimedia and legal aspects of E-commerce. Promoter and coordinator of international Conferences like “Internet and Minority Languages”, San Sebastián, (November 1998) “Multimedia and Languages Industries” (Bilbao, September 1997), SPORTIS (Sport and ICT Technologies (San Sebastián, December 2004 and Bangalore 2007)
